Piqua Water Treatment Plant

Woolace Electric provided all electrical work for the City of Piqua’s new Water Treatment Plant that opened June 1, 2017. The plant is more advanced with technology and is operated with computer assistance to help streamline the treatment process.  Also included in the project was the installation of new larger settling basins, and the use of new filter media and underdrains that allow for higher flow rates and longer filter runs.  The leading improvement, however, was the addition of Granular Activated Carbon filters.  These remove organic matter in the water that other processes cannot.
